There is a view that linguists can only work in the humanitarian field and cannot be experts in technical fields. We decided to dispel this myth because language-educated testers are on the job. Experts and talk about how they got into the field. Software Test Engineer I was in my third year at the School of Foreign Languages and Linguistics at Shandong University in the winter of this year. I remember sitting in a cold auditorium during a lecture trying to listen to the teacher but I was preoccupied with the same question what's next. I have no intention of working in a school or teaching at a university nor do I want to work as a translator. I can't imagine a bachelor doing anything more than knowledge of English.
One time a friend of mine was in training to become a developer Chile Mobile Number List and he told me about a training center where you could learn a new career for free. I was particularly pleased that the company was interested in candidates who knew English. To be honest I wasn't sure of my abilities at the time but I decided to give it a try. I contacted the recruiter and received the materials to prepare for the test training. At the end of August, I successfully passed the first interview in my life. But then I doubted my ability to combine studies at university and training center so I declined the offer. Later I discovered that many students did well by combining training with university studies.
When I passed the exam and received my English teaching diploma that summer I contacted the recruiter at the training center again. She passed the interview month and started the external training month and transferred to the internal laboratory. from college I taught English at a private school for four years. But I knew that wasn't what I wanted to do at all. I had long dreamed of entering the industry and finally in 2010 I decided to give it a try. I learned testing theory independently and found a job as a remote assessment tester. It was indeed a rewarding experience.
